About our videos

Hello! Welcome to our new Adventures in Homesteading Video series.
I hope you are enjoying all of these videos I make. I spend many hours a week trying to come with themes which I feel would be of great interest to you, the viewer. Making videos is much harder then one may think. So much work is put into making every single video you see on my site. Between the many hours of research, the day or days spent shooting the footage for the video along with any travel time. Add in the many hours it will take to edit all the footage (in my not so speedy & accurate computer) and you will see my free time is gone. It is a lot of work & dedication. But I LOVE doing it.

I have no prior experience in video or movie making. What you see is a work in progress. Each one has been improved from the last. There are times I am unable to improve on something in part to the low budget (as in no financial backing) to improve editing equipment or audio enhancement. These are things which will eventually make their way into these adventures. But as a wise man once said and a wise woman passed it on to me..."Best make Hay while the is sun shining". I do the best I can with my limited resources.

The purpose & drive behind my video making is to share & inspire others who strive or whom are living a self sustainable lifestyle. If your like me, you can read a book on HOW to do something but nothing compares to seeing it in progress. I have found as with many things in life, way too many people make things out to be complicated & intricate. In these videos, I take you into the adventure side of Homesteading. Every day has the potential for adventure & excitement. From learning how to make willow obelisks to making your own bread. How to produce your own oil & grains is another great example. There is no need for so many acres to have your cottage farm. Do & grow just enough for your family without the mindset of what is done on larger mass producing farms.
In these videos I take you with me as I adventure not only out into the lives of others who share their experience & skill, but right here, on our cottage farm of 3 acres.
You have thepotential for great adventures & self satisfaction. It is a matter of bending your perception from modern society. Learn to laugh at yourself. Understand that mistakes are made which in turn gives great lessons. Life is just one big adventure waiting for you. It's all about how you look at it.
As always....
sweet dreams,
~Tammie
