It all began long ago when film met digital in our lives. The birth of our son brought the first digital camera into my hands. It brought an aspect of creativeness I only dreamed of. Not too mention far more satisfying.
Things have changed since that first point & shoot. Years containing thousands of photographs later, I finally found a way to buying my first DSLR digital camera. The horizon has expanded with a manual digital camera. The creative images I only held in my head can now be explored through my lens. Thankfully with a brood of willing eager models, my theme photography and visions are coming to life. I have my oldest to thank for much of this as well as her large group of friends. They are truly the greatest and most amazing patient lil Chica's I have had the pleasure to know. Even braving the wilds of our hilly woods decked out in long dresses and other not your normal hard hiking attire just so we can get to some beautiful spots. They do it all with a smile & giggle along with plenty of happy memories. And a new outlook on how truly beautiful they really are.
No classes. No paid lessons. My time is not that accommodating. I take it as it comes. Inspired from many through the wonders of the net yet learning the way I do best... Hands on. Mistakes and blunders have and will continue to be made along with ones that surprise and encourage me to keep going. I'm not a "digital Debbie". I'm not taking business form others. I've heard this complaint over and over with the Photog field. Yes I give them a CD with the photos and yes I even print a few out {at the local 1 hour!} but if my child were posing for someone else no matter their level of experience or knowledge, you bet your darn Squirrel nuts I would want to at least have a medium of their time. The girls have some fun and different shots {age appropriate -have you see the stuff some kids post?!} to share with friends/family via the net, and I get to gain more trial & error experience/ knowledge. A most fair trade off.
So this is it. This is the place I will share and log my progress. It's all about photography and the elements in it for me. This page will be my trapper keeper.
After all, everyone starts somewhere. This is mine.
