Hmmm.... I could really use some advice other then "contact a lawyer" who will charge a fee. Where do i look for the right information without getting anymore confused on the whole copyrighting names? The Captain said in his business class (in college) they said the cheap way to copyright a name is to mail yourself the information and such in a sealed envelope. That way it has the stamped date and name on the front and keep it sealed for any future "event". That is what the professor said- not sure how accurate his advice is though.
I wanted to share this picture of an old potting shed from a home for sale not too far from here. I love the weather vane and if possible, hope to negotiate the owners for it's purchase:

The home is next to a bar/restaurant and they hope to sell it for something like a lawyers office. Which to me means they will not be keeping the grapevines and arbor and could careless about the potting sheds ornament out back. Although the bar next to it has shown interest to knock it all down and put Bocci courts in... So we will see what comes of it after the winter.
Future dreams,

We just started a small business. Our atty called the state secretary of state's office to find out if the business name we wanted was available. You might be able to do that yourself, if your state handles it the same. When we register as a business with the state then the name is ours. You might call attys round your area and see how much it is to work with one. Accountants, too, since you probably have to collect sales taxes.
What a pity about the name thing. In Australia we have a register of business names. There is a cost but it's only nominal and if no one else has registered the name it's yours for three years... you then have to pay again:( I tried to get an etsy store for my Gobblers Run soaps but I had already registed before with my name and therefore my shop name would have been khunter and that has no ring to it at all! Good luck with the little shed!
I've been thinking about your name (and I have always loved the name of your blog) and I really like Unusual Farmchick, but I wonder if *Unusually* Farmchick would be catchy too? Kind of a play of something like "very farmchick". Another shorter version of UUF? Either way the name is going to uniquely yours despite the other Farm chicks!
Oh, I'm working on an email to you!!!
Usually unusual would be cool.
